Job description

This is a great opportunity to join an established and recognisable Yorkshire brand with Head Offices based in South Leeds!

Having been in operation for over 20 years across Yorkshire, the business were acquired in 2018, and since then have continued to grow and expand their customer base across the region.

This role will join the fast paced and busy Leeds based finance team reporting to the Financial Controller, overseeing 2 direct reports.

***The role would be ideally suited to someone fully qualified (ACCA/ACA/CIMA) who enjoys working with systems and improving processes looking for a step into a Finance Manager with a highly successful and fast paced manufacturing business***

The key duties of this role include:

  • Oversee and assist with preparing monthly management accounts to agreed deadline.
  • Perform monthly review of accounting results with management accountant and assistant management accountant.
  • Prepare meaningful commentaries on monthly variance analysis, taking full ownership for the P&L.
  • Lead and support two direct reports
  • Drive continuous improvement of end-to-end accounting practices.
  • Assist with Balance Sheet reviews and reporting as required.
  • Assist with systems implementation and internal control processes.
  • Assist with the budget preparation process.
The successful candidate will:
  • Be fully qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA - Essential
  • Have a strong background in management accounts, ideally with some people management exposure - Essential
  • Have previous experience working in a similar role within manufacturing or construction - Desirable
  • Have previous experience of process improvements and system implementation - Desirable
