Job summary

MOD is seeking an experienced Finance Manager (Inside IR35) for a 12-month contract in Corsham, with 2–3 days in the office. You will partner with senior stakeholders, provide forecasting and management information, and ensure strong governance and financial controls across the Service Owner portfolio.

Essential: Active SC Clearance and proven experience in financial management within a complex organisation.

Qualifications

Active SC Clearance is essential.
Experience in financial management, forecasting, budgeting and MI within a complex organisation.
Ability to provide clear, credible financial advice to senior stakeholders.
Strong understanding of governance, control and assurance frameworks.
Experience supporting year-end accounting and audit requirements.
Ability to work at pace, manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Strong stakeholder management across finance, commercial and delivery functions.

Responsibilities

Provide expert financial management and business partnering across the Service Owner portfolio.
Produce accurate forecasts, budgets and management information for informed decisions.
Deliver clear financial advice to senior stakeholders.
Maintain strong financial controls, governance and assurance processes.
Support approvals and investment decisions with robust analysis.
Lead or support year-end accounting activities and audits.
Identify financial risks and opportunities and propose actions.
Collaborate with delivery, commercial and finance teams to meet objectives.
Manage competing priorities and deliver outputs to fixed deadlines.
Support knowledge transfer and handover for the returning post holder.
