Overview

Finance Manager - R&D and Supply Chain – Permanent role. Recruitment Partner: Vyoma Gandhi - vyoma.gandhi@boots.com. This is an exciting opportunity to join our R&D and Supply Chain Finance team, supporting the strategy and execution within our No7 Beauty Company (No7BC) business. Reporting to the Head of Finance: R&D and Supply Chain, you\'ll provide FP&A and partner support to the No7BC Global R&D and Supply Chain VP and Lead Team, and be part of the wider Operations Finance Business Partnering team, collaborating with our Central FP&A team. This role is ideal for an experienced Finance Manager looking to progress to Head of Finance within 2 years by developing impact and influencing skills with key members of the No7BC Lead Team and deputising for the Head of Finance in several key meetings.

Key responsibilities
  • Leading the FP&A activities for the R&D and Supply Chain function by engaging and supporting senior management
  • Support the monthly close in close collaboration between Central FP&A and Controllership, ensuring on time and accurate reporting
  • Producing and presenting to senior management monthly reporting packs such as MBRs
  • Producing budget/forecasts and holding teams to account for delivering these numbers
  • Helping teams to understand performance, providing analysis and creating insight to inform future decisions
  • Identify areas for continuous improvement, setting up and leading teams to maximise opportunities through latest systems to replace outdated excel solutions
  • Leading the annual standard costing process within No7BC, engaging with multiple Finance and non-Finance partners
  • Work with the inventory team to help minimise excess and obsolete (E&O) stock
  • Line management of one Senior Finance Analyst Graduate
What you\'ll need to have
  • To be a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent)
  • Have excellent communication, relationship-building and people leadership skills
  • Show confidence to challenge, impact and influence across multiple organisational levels
  • Ability to think strategically, review, and use analytical skills to understand the bigger picture whilst having good attention to detail
  • A natural curiosity and "+can do" mindset
  • Excellent Excel skills
It would be great if you also have
  • These are desirable skills but are not essential, so we would welcome applications from candidates that don\'t match this additional criteria.
  • Knowledge of TM1 reporting, SAP and Power BI, but not essential
  • Previous experiences of leading small teams
