Job description

Finance Manager / Accountant who is either ACA / CIMA / ACCA qualified with Advanced Excel knowledge and excellent written and verbal communication skills is required for a well-established award-winning cloud solutions company.

SALARY: up to £60,000 per annum (depending on experience) + Benefits (see below)

JOB OVERVIEW

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for the Finance Manager / Accountant who is either ACA / CIMA / ACCA qualified with Advanced Excel knowledge and excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Working as the Finance Manager / Accountant you will manage and lead the Transactional Accounting Teams (Accounts Payable and Account Receivable) and own the Banking and Treasury functions.

As the Finance Manager / Accountant you will play a key role in managing the working capital for the group and support the business as it grows. You will also automate the AP, AR and Banking functions.

As a successful candidate you will have experience in working capital management and supporting a business through rapid expansion.

DUTIES

Your duties as the Finance Manager / Accountant include:

AR/AP Team
  1. Managing and developing the AP & AR Teams, providing objectives, guidance, and workload management.
  2. Develop, coach and empower the AP and AR teams to own their roles and responsibilities.
  3. Managing relationships with existing and new suppliers, review and re-negotiate credit terms where appropriate. Onboarding of new customers and suppliers.
  4. Manage the relationship with the internal Billing Team and Customer Account Managers to ensure bills are issued accurately and on time and posted to ledgers.
  5. Ensure AR and AP ledgers are managed efficiently and reconciled with supplier statements on a regular basis.
  6. Manage the Expense module for staff expenses.
  7. Own and manage the invoice approval and payment process, ensuring appropriate controls are in place.
  8. Manage Cash Allocation process for payments and receipts and Direct Debit collection process.
  9. Develop and implement reporting and KPI’s to support cash management.
Accounting & Reporting
  1. General Accounting, posting to ledgers, P&L and BS reconciliations including Bank reconciliations for month end and year end reporting for the group.
  2. Manage the Intercompany invoicing, settlement, reconciliation and reporting for the group.
  3. Reviewing and reporting of Aged Payables and Aged Receivable and ensure provision is calculated and booked, managing financial and credit risk to the business.
  4. Provide information and support the external audit.
  5. Review current processes, systems and controls and implement improvements where necessary.
Treasury
  1. Manage the operational relationship with the Banks and be the first point of contact for banks.
  2. Produce daily and weekly cash flow forecasts, on a weekly rolling basis for the group, coordinating with the Financial Controllers across the group.
  3. Proactively and efficiently manage group cash to improve group working capital.
  4. Responsible for daily, weekly and monthly KPI and dashboard reporting for working capital, to support the Group FC, CFO and the wider business.
