  • Oversee Exchequer Services and liaise with payroll providers.
  • Deputise for the Head of Finance when required.

Overview

Finance Manager - Qualified Salary: £55,000 – £61,000 per annum Location: Leicester (Hybrid – 2 days WFH) Sector: Public Sector Type: Permanent

We are currently recruiting for a Finance Manager to join a well-respected public sector organisation in Leicestershire. This is a strategic leadership role with responsibility for overseeing a direct budget and supporting the management of a wider budget. You will be managing an experienced established team with a responsibility to guide & support where required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Finance Team and support the Head of Finance.
  • Prepare and monitor capital, revenue, and project budgets.
  • Ensure accurate and timely publication of the annual Statement of Accounts.
  • Manage Treasury processes including cashflow and capital strategies.
  • Oversee Exchequer Services and liaise with outsourced payroll and pensions providers.
  • Represent the finance function internally and externally, including professional groups.
  • Deputise for the Head of Finance when required.
What We’re Looking For
  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CIPFA).
  • Strong public sector experience and understanding of statutory financial reporting.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop a team.
