Job summary

RG Consultancy Ltd is supporting an excellent organisation seeking an experienced Finance Manager/Accounts Manager on a full-time, permanent basis. The role suits someone with public-sector finance experience and professional qualifications (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) or equivalent.

You will lead the finance function, oversee month-end, budgets and financial reporting, and work closely with management to drive improvements. Excellent benefits and onsite parking are included.

Qualifications

• Qualified by experience or professional qualification in accounting.
• Experience in public sector finance is advantageous.
• CIMA/ACCA/ACA or equivalent qualifications welcomed.

Responsibilities

• Fully prepare the monthly management accounts.
• Manage financial processes including purchasing, payments, banking and income.
• Assist with month-end reconciliations including accruals and prepayments.
• Lead the operational finance function with professionalism and accuracy.
• Promote high standards of conduct, continuous improvement and safeguarding.
• Respond to reasonable requests from the Line Manager and meet statutory requirements.
• Oversee day-to-day delivery of finance services with strong customer service.
• Line-manage finance staff and lead team meetings for development.
• Monitor budgets, financial risks and compliance with authorities and SOPs.
• Administer and maintain financial systems, workflows, user access and data accuracy.
• Resolve complex financial queries and provide strong financial analysis for budgeting, forecasting and procurement.
