Salary: £55,000 - £60,000 + discretionary company bonus

What is the job?

If so, you could be the perfect fit for our Finance Manager role here at Picturehouse. In this position, you will support our Financial Controller and the wider UK Finance team during an exciting period of change, with plenty of opportunities to develop and advance your skills.

What will you be doing?

  • You will be responsible for month-end accounting journals, including accruals, prepayments, stock, fixed assets, interest, and intercompany transactions, ensuring accuracy within the required timetable.
  • You will prepare key reconciliations for material balance sheet items and review those for non-material balance sheet items.
  • You will work closely with the Finance Controller to review monthly trial balances and manage month-end close procedures, including preparing financial results and operating metrics for group reporting purposes.
  • You will collaborate with the UK Finance Controller to prepare the year-end consolidated financial statements, addressing technical areas like IFRS 16 and IAS 35, and act as a key point of contact for auditors during the year-end audit.
  • You will identify and propose ideas to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of the financial accounting function and assist in preparing various financial information for both internal and external purposes.

About you

  • You hold a professional accounting qualification (ACA/ACCA) and have experience in auditing and preparing financial statements.
  • You possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to manage a wide range of tasks, from administrative to technically challenging work.
  • You have strong MS Excel skills for generating insightful analysis from large datasets (e.g., pivot tables, lookups, Power Query).
  • You may also have experience with Microsoft Dynamics, though this is preferred rather than essential.
