Overview:

On behalf of our client, a well–established and growing organisation in the Oldham area, we are currently recruiting for a professionally qualified Finance Manager to join their finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven individual to take ownership of a finance function within a supportive and forward–thinking business.



The Role:

Reporting directly to senior leadership, the Finance Manager will be responsible for managing the day–to–day financial operations, delivering timely and accurate reporting, and contributing to the company's strategic objectives. This is a hands–on role, ideal for a commercially astute finance professional who thrives in a dynamic environment.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Ownership of monthly management accounts, reporting, and analysis

  • Preparation of budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis

  • Ensuring compliance with statutory reporting and tax obligations

  • Effective cash flow management and financial planning

  • Leading and mentoring a small finance team

  • Providing financial insight to support strategic decision–making

  • Managing the year–end audit process and liaising with external auditors

  • Driving process improvements across the finance function



The Ideal Candidate:

  • Professionally qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)

  • Strong technical accounting knowledge and commercial acumen

  • Experience in a similar finance role, ideally within an SME or owner–managed business

  • Skilled in financial systems and advanced Excel

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

  • Proactive, hands–on, and confident in working autonomously
