Overview

Finance Manager - Property Portfolio. Permanent
Nottingham. 24-month secondment opportunity for a Finance Manager - Modernising the Property Portfolio (MPP) to join the Commercial Finance Team. The role reports directly to the Head of Finance - Beauty with a dotted line to the Head of Finance - Property.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the end-to-end process for Modernising the Property Portfolio (MPP) Commercial Capital Programs, from business case creation to completing the Financials within the Group Capital Investment models and Capital Investment Papers, incorporating both Growth and Maintenance elements of spend.
  • Serve as the key finance contact for the end-to-end MPP modelling, coordinating with Finance and Non-Finance partners, and ensuring alignment on timelines and milestones, including regular MPP Project Planning Analysis (CPA) calls.
  • Provide independent and critical thinking, guiding agendas across departments, reviewing multiple scenarios, and supporting the business with reasoned recommendations.
  • Coordinate all MPP Commercial Capital initiatives (including non-Beauty specific).
  • Lead the Commercial Initiative 3YP / Budget processes, working with the wider Commercial Finance team to ensure all requests are captured.
  • Lead both an MPP initiative tracking process and input into the Monthly Programme reporting process.
  • Produce standardised templates and processes for all MPP initiatives, developing detailed knowledge of different paper types and capital expenditure policies and procedures.
  • Influence the business to ensure governance and adherence to the control environment.
What you’ll need to have
  • Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent)
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills to inspire, effect change and drive successful processes and performance
  • Strategic thinking and analytical skills, understanding the bigger picture while maintaining strong attention to detail
  • Experience as a Finance Manager
