DESCRIPTION

Amazon Fuse & Mobile Business Development (MBD) Finance Team is seeking an innovative, high business judgement, analytical and strategic finance leader, passionate about accelerating Amazon’s growth. This is a unique opportunity to join a centralized corporate business development team working on strategic partnerships to accelerate Amazon’s flywheel by distributing Amazon’s digital services. Specifically, the Amazon Fuse & Mobile Business Development (MBD) team focuses on distributing Amazon’s digital services through partnerships with Mobile Operators, MVPDs (video distributors), and OEMs worldwide.

This business-partnering role serves as the Finance Lead for Europe, Africa, and Middle East (EMEA), supporting some of Amazon’s most impactful commercial partnerships in these regions. The role requires collaboration with internal finance teams to understand their priorities and economics, conducting research and analysis of industries, potential partners, and competitors, and communicating findings to senior management. The team values deep, rigorous analysis combined with creativity, adaptability, and action-orientation to drive growth and influence decision-making.

The ideal candidate is a first-principles thinker, enjoys solving complex problems, managing ambiguity, and working effectively with cross-functional teams. Success in fast-paced, evolving environments and demonstrating strong finance leadership are critical. The team values analytical individuals who think creatively, learn quickly, and proactively seek growth opportunities.

Key job responsibilities
  1. Lead the Finance Planning process for Europe, Africa, and Middle East 3rd Party Fuse partnerships.
  2. Influence senior leaders through financial insights to achieve business goals and accelerate growth.
  3. Create new financial models to maximize the strategic impact of MBD partnerships.
  4. Develop methods to assess incremental value in strategic partnerships and customer segments, including willingness to invest in customer acquisition and retention, and evaluate return on investments.
  5. Develop metrics and benchmarking mechanisms to track efficiency and progress towards strategic goals.
  6. Partner with marketing measurement and XCM Finance teams to develop analytics tools and evaluate the impact of partner marketing investments on financial results and brand perception.
  7. Drive thought leadership in quantifying the value of distinct customer behaviors.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • 5+ years of experience in tax, finance, or a related analytical field.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics, business, or equivalent experience with a quantitative role.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • 6+ years of experience solving complex business challenges with financial models and analysis that impact business outcomes.
  • MBA or CPA certification.
  • Knowledge of SQL/ETL.
  • Experience with large-scale data mining/reporting tools (e.g., SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and financial systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP).
  • Experience with forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis, and data interpretation.
