Finance Manager

Location: Warrington, WA1 4RZ | Warwick, CV34 6TE | Worksop, S80 3AT

Hours: 37.5hpw, 08:00-16:00 Monday to Friday

Salary: between £60,000 and £75,000 pa DOE

You are a qualified accountant with management accounting and costing experience gained within manufacturing, looking for an opportunity to take greater ownership and make an impact. We’re looking for a Finance Manager to join Dennis Eagle. This role combines management accounting, financial control and business partnering, with the opportunity to work closely with operational teams and help improve the way we understand and manage financial performance. The role reports to the Finance Director and includes responsibility for an Accounts Administrator. You might already be working at Finance Manager level, or you could be an experienced Management Accountant or similar finance professional ready to take your first step into a Finance Manager position.

A little more about location: We can consider candidates based around Warrington, Worksop or Warwick. This is a predominantly office-based role, with regular travel between our Warrington, Worksop and Warwick locations depending on where you are based. Flexibility to travel is therefore important, and a car allowance is included as part of the package. There will be very limited opportunity for home working, so this role will particularly suit someone who is comfortable working primarily alongside our operational teams on site.

What you’ll be doing
  • Leading the month‑end process and producing accurate, timely management accounts.
  • Preparing budgets, forecasts and cash flow plans.
  • Providing clear financial insight to operational teams and department heads.
  • Managing and analysing costs, margins, stock, working capital and business performance.
  • Working closely with operational teams to support decision‑making and identify practical improvements.
  • Maintaining effective financial controls and supporting statutory and tax reporting.
  • Supporting the year‑end audit and working with external auditors.
  • Helping improve financial processes, reporting and systems, including Microsoft Dynamics 365.
  • Developing reporting and dashboards using Power BI.
  • Supporting and developing the finance team.
  • Providing Group with monthly results, forecasts and budgets.
What we’re looking for

Manufacturing experience is essential for this position.

  • Is ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified.
  • Has proven finance experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Has strong management accounting and costing experience.
  • Understands the financial drivers of a production environment and can work effectively with operational colleagues.
  • Has experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 or another ERP system within a production environment.
  • Has experience supporting or managing others.
  • Can analyse financial information and turn it into clear, useful insight.
  • Is comfortable improving processes, systems and ways of working.
  • Can work across different priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Is comfortable travelling regularly between UK sites.

Experience developing Power BI reports and dashboards would also be valuable for the role.

Why join us?

This is an opportunity to take a key finance role within a manufacturing business where you’ll work closely with the people making day‑to‑day operational decisions. It could also be a great next step if you’ve built solid experience in management accounting and manufacturing costing and are now ready to broaden your responsibility at Finance Manager level.

We welcome applicants from all backgrounds. Even if you don't meet every requirement, we encourage you to apply. We value potential and are committed to supporting your development.

We recognise the importance of flexibility and offer a range of flexible and hybrid working arrangements where the nature of the role and business needs allow. If you’d like to understand what options may be available for this position, please contact our Recruitment team.
