Finance Manager, Manufacturing

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Manufacturing UK Finance team, supporting the UK Manufacturing function. We have over 900 employees, a direct cost base of £100m, and our outputs generate revenues of £1bn per annum.

Salary

Up to £75,000 depending on experience

Work Arrangement

Hybrid working: 2-3 days per week on-site due to workload classification

Security Clearance

British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship. Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. All successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team.

The opportunity:

You will join a passionate and growing team, providing quality advice and support to the manufacturing department. As a Business Partner, you will deliver financial expertise to help achieve the department’s objectives. The role involves working in detail and supporting the UK Head of Manufacturing Finance as Deputy, managing two colleagues.

Responsibilities include:

• Providing financial support and management information for product UPCs
• Acting as the point of contact for bi-annual manufacturing contract EACs
• Managing financial control for multi-million investment plans
• Completing monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations
• Supporting SAP 4/HANA system upgrades related to manufacturing processes
• Representing manufacturing in continuous improvement initiatives

Candidate requirements:

• Qualified accountant with experience in a large manufacturing environment
• Experience with SAP and Manufacturing Execution Systems is advantageous
• Knowledge of manufacturing performance metrics
• Willingness to travel within the UK and Europe as needed
• Proven team management and development skills
