Job Title: Finance Manager

Location: Oakham, Leicestershire (On-site, 5 days/week, with flexibility)
Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum
Reporting to: Senior Leadership Team

Role Overview

This is a hands-on hybrid role, combining both Finance Manager and Management Accountant responsibilities. The successful candidate will be central to the day-to-day financial operations while also supporting strategic decisions, stock analysis, and business improvement initiatives. The position offers close collaboration with leadership in a supportive team environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily finance operations, including month-end reporting.
  • Perform financial analysis and forecasting to guide strategic decisions.
  • Complete core accounting duties such as ledger entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
  • Assist with budgeting, investment assessments, and stock investigations.
  • Collaborate with operational managers and directors across the organization.
  • Ensure compliance with financial standards and internal policies.
  • Drive process improvements and contribute to broader business initiatives.
Candidate Profile

Essential:
  • Part-qualified or fully qualified accountant (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
  • Solid hands-on accounting experience with strong attention to detail.
  • Comfortable working in a lean team environment with broad responsibilities.
  • Proactive and team-oriented, with a humble and grounded approach.
  • Willingness to engage across various operational areas of the business.
Desirable:
  • Experience in a small to medium-sized enterprise (SME).
  • Background in stock, manufacturing, or operational finance.
  • Proficiency in Excel and financial analysis.
