Career Opportunity: Finance Manager, Inventory Accounting

The Finance Manager, Inventory Accounting, is responsible for leading global inventory accounting & reporting practices related to Profit in Inventory (PII), Cost of Goods Sold (COGS), and internal purchase price variances (PPV). This position reports to the Cytiva Global Inventory Controller and is part of the Global Inventory Controllership Process team, based in Budapest or Amersham, and requires on-site presence.

Responsibilities:
  1. Lead the monthly reporting practices for the global Cytiva business regarding PII, COGS accounting, and Internal PPV.
  2. Provide controllership guidance to ensure compliance with accounting policies and collaborate with Business Unit Finance leaders and other stakeholders.
  3. Implement global standard work across teams and processes, driving process improvement and automation.
  4. Supervise other associates supporting these processes.
  5. Participate in closing and compliance processes, including Sarbanes-Oxley testing, annual balance sheet reviews, audits, and account reconciliations.
Qualifications:
  • Hold an accounting qualification.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in an accounting/finance position within a global business environment.
  • Experience with inventory accounting and managing teams.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel for data analysis.
Additional Requirements:
  • Ability to travel occasionally to HQ locations.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience in communicating complex issues clearly.
  • Participation in process improvement initiatives.
  • Adaptability to ambiguous situations and change.
  • Knowledge of BI tools like QlikSense or OneStream.
