Job summary

HireHi, a London-based commercial law firm, is seeking a Finance Manager to lead a small finance team and drive financial planning and reporting. The role focuses on budgeting, forecasting, and ensuring accurate statutory statements, with collaboration across departments in a high-demand legal environment.

You will oversee P&L and cash forecasting, audit adjustments, covenant testing, and capital management, while supporting the Finance Director on firmwide financial performance.

Qualifications

• ACCA/CIMA qualification or part-qualified required.
• Minimum 5 years in a busy law-firm finance department.
• Excellent Excel and SQL proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Manage a finance team of 4.
• Prepare P&L forecasts, cash forecasts, and updates.
• Prepare statutory financial statements and audit adjustments.
• Oversee annual income and cost budgets.
• Conduct quarterly financial covenant tests for the bank.
• Support the COFA with SRA and statutory LLP audits.
• Prepare partner drawings schedules and calculate quarterly commission payments.
• Review the monthly balance sheet and bank reconciliations.
• Update fee earner and support staff headcount listings monthly.
• Manage partners’ capital requirements, liaise with the bank, and apply for new or increased capital as required.
• Analyze and value WIP and aged debts.
• Lead firmwide projects and support the Finance Director with firmwide financial performance and other tasks.
