Job summary

Officeangels in Burgess Hill is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to start immediately for an onsite role, initially temporary with potential to go permanent.

You will own day-to-day finance, manage monthly management accounts, oversee VAT and reconciliations, and provide robust financial reporting to support business decisions. Salary is £20.00 per hour (£39,000 equivalent), with weekly pay during the temporary period and free onsite parking.

Qualifications

• Experience as Finance Manager or Senior Management Accountant.
• Strong VAT knowledge and financial reporting.
• Available to start immediately.

Are you an experienced Finance Manager available immediately and looking for your next opportunity? We are working with a growing Burgess Hill-based business seeking a hands-on Finance Manager to join their team on a temporary basis, with the potential to become permanent.

This is a fully onsite role where you will take ownership of the day-to-day finance function, supporting business operations and ensuring accurate financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing monthly management accounts and reporting
• Overseeing purchase ledger, sales ledger and bank reconciliations
• Handling cashflow forecasting and budget monitoring
• Preparing VAT returns and supporting year-end processes
• Supervising finance administration and maintaining financial controls
• Producing financial analysis to support business decision-making

About You

• Previous experience as a Finance Manager or Senior Management Accountant
• Confident managing month-end processes from start to finish
• Strong knowledge of VAT, reconciliations and financial reporting
• Proficient with accounting systems and Excel
• Available to start immediately or at short notice
• Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach
