Job summary

Greenwell Gleeson is partnering with an established SME to recruit an experienced Finance Manager. You will take ownership of the finance function, report to the Directors and provide accurate financial information, commercial insight and strong financial controls.

The role offers hybrid working, exposure to the Directors and an opportunity to implement improvements across processes and reporting while supporting wider commercial projects as the business grows.

Qualifications

• Strong management accounting experience.
• Experience of budgeting, forecasting and cash-flow management.
• Good understanding of working capital and credit control.
• Strong financial controls and balance-sheet experience.
• Ability to improve processes and financial reporting.
• Confidence working directly with Directors and non-finance stakeholders.
• A proactive, hands-on approach.

Responsibilities

• Preparation of monthly management accounts and reporting to the Directors.
• Budgeting, forecasting and cash-flow management.
• Providing commercial and financial analysis to support business decisions.
• Monitoring performance and identifying key trends, risks and opportunities.
• Managing balance-sheet reconciliations and maintaining strong financial controls.
• Reviewing and improving finance processes, procedures and reporting.
• Taking ownership of credit control and the debtor ledger.
• VAT returns and CIS reporting.
• Payroll oversight.
• Oversight of purchase and sales ledgers.
• Supporting the Directors with wider financial and commercial projects as the business grows.
