Job Description:

Our client, a Local Authority based in Wiltshire, is currently recruiting for a Finance Manager- HRA on a 6-month temporary contract. The position is due to start as soon as possible on a full-time basis.

The daily rate on offer is £400 per day; the role will require office presence 3 days per week (there may be some flexibility for the right candidate).

The ideal candidate will have expertise in Housing Revenue Accounts within a Local Government setting.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Reviewing and redrafting the budget for HRA in accordance with Local Government Housing Legislation
  • Supporting wider Council projects with costing and advising on HRA legal requirements
  • Assisting with the HRA budget setting process and production of the business plan
  • Ensuring expenditure, income levels and capital financing is determined in accordance with legislative requirements
  • Interpreting, advising upon and implementing legislation and guidance
  • Leading on the year-end closedown of accounts

Experience required:

  • Extensive experience in Housing Revenue Accounts
  • Experience working within a local government setting

Working hours:

  • 37 hours per week
  • Monday – Friday, 9am-5pm
