Qualifications

Base Location: Glasgow

Salary: £50,100 - £75,100+ performance-related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

Working Pattern: 12 Months Fixed Term Contract | Full Time | Flexible First options available

The Role

The role leads on the delivery of robust financial control for the SSE Group Services entities, which provide essential corporate functions such as Legal, HR, Property and IT services to the SSE Group and its business units.

You will be responsible
  • Leading on the month end process and reporting, providing clear and insightful commentary on operational and capital expenditure
  • The ownership of key financial controls to ensure the accuracy and reliability of financial reporting.
  • Managing the audit process and the preparation of subsidiary statutory financial statements.
  • Driving team and organisational performances, by identifying and implementing opportunities for process improvements.
  • Supporting people development and leading the Group Services financial control team.
You have
  • A qualification with a professional accounting body (e.g. ICAS, ACCA or CIMA)
  • The Ability to filter information to gain a big-picture perspective
  • Experience developing or implementing new ideas, processes or ways of working to bring about positive change and value.
  • The ability to analyse situations, appraising options and having the confidence to make the judgment on the best option.
