We’re looking for a Finance Manager with a background in financial reporting or corporate accounting to join a global hedge fund in a senior leadership role.

This is an opportunity to work in a fast-paced, inclusive, and collaborative environment, leading a small team and covering a mixture of BAU and project work.

The ideal candidate will be qualified and have around 7 to 10 years PQE, with experience in a large and complex financial services business, such as asset management, alternatives, banking, insurance, or fintech/payments.

Your responsibilities:

  • Leading the month-end close process for several European entities, including reviewing journal entries and ensuring reconciliations are seamless.
  • Supporting audit processes and collaborating with external auditors to complete financial statements.
  • Assisting in the preparation and review of VAT filings and other indirect tax matters—building strong relationships with external advisors.
  • Performing expense analysis, identifying cost drivers, and contributing to data-led decision-making.
  • Partnering with teams across the business to streamline workflows and increase efficiency.
  • Delivering management reporting, local regulatory filings, and survey responses to guide strategic decisions.
  • Participating in finance transformation projects and continuous process improvements across EMEA.
  • Providing day-to-day coaching, mentoring, and management for qualified accountants.

Your background:

  • A qualified accountant (ACA, CA, ACCA, ACMA, or equivalent) with at least 8 to 10+ years of experience in finance.
  • Experience in a large and complex financial services business is essential.
  • Proven leadership skills managing small teams and mentoring others.
  • Strong judgment, excellent communication, and top-tier analytical skills.
  • Tech-savvy.
  • A multitasker who thrives under pressure and meets deadlines.
  • Energetic, proactive, and full of integrity, with ownership and continuous improvement mindset.

Salary ranges from approximately £120,000 to £140,000 base, plus bonus and benefits.

Please note: this company operates from the office 5 days a week and does not support remote working. Visa sponsorship is not available; candidates must hold full, unrestricted UK work rights.
