Job summary

Oxygen House is seeking a Finance Manager for their Exeter Family Office. You will manage the finances, oversee day-to-day accounting, and contribute to financial planning and reporting. This role reports to the Financial Controller and involves stakeholder collaboration across diverse entities.

Key duties include month-end close, statutory accounts, tax coordination, budgeting, and process improvements, with a focus on accuracy and confidential handling of information.

Qualifications

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA with at least two years’ PQE, or qualified by experience to an equivalent level.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge and tax/reporting understanding.
• Excellent analytical skills and the ability to provide practical financial advice.
• Ability to work with agility in a varied environment and adapt to priorities.
• Experience working with external advisers including tax/accounting specialists.
• Experience in Family Office or charitable environment is beneficial but not essential.
• Excellent attention to detail and high-quality financial reporting.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to build trusted relationships.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review quarterly reporting across diverse entities with stakeholders.
• Lead month-end close with balance sheet reconciliations and control accounts.
• Oversee and approve payment runs with proper documentation and controls.
• Prepare year-end statutory accounts and liaise with external auditors.
• Coordinate tax and compliance for the Family Office.
• Lead annual budgeting, forecasts, and cash-flow modelling.
• Monitor cash positions and liquidity across entities.
• Review and improve finance systems and reporting templates.
• Supervise and develop finance team members.
