Job Description:

Position Summary

Working as a Finance Manager, the job’s main purpose is to manage the various financial, management and cost accounts, forecasting future movements of income, expenses, assets and liabilities. To accept responsibility for the timely provision of financial and monthly accounts, budgetary control and planning and audit requirement.

We require an individual with fluent Korean / English speaking and writing skills for this role due to heavy interaction with colleagues at Samsung HQ in Korea.

Role and Responsibilities

The main tasks you are expected to perform include, but are not limited to:

  1. To lead any/all activities within the Finance team.
  2. Lead the Finance team of 3 people.
  3. Production of operating budgets and forecasts and providing accurate report on financial results against these.
  4. To liaise with directors in producing financial information to assist with their reporting / decision-making requirements e.g. budget.
  5. To produce timely financial reports and statements in line with company requirements. This includes monthly reporting of costs by division and project with analysis against plan and forecast, as well as recharge of the R&D expenses to SEC.
  6. Manage the timely monthly management accounts, budgets, forecasts and commentaries for local use.
  7. To liaise with external auditors.
  8. To be innovative in improving internal controls and procedures.
  9. To encourage team building, motivation and cultivate effective team relations.
  10. Timely provision of progress reports, following the attendance of meetings and resulting from other activities undertaken as appropriate.
  11. Ad hoc activities.
Skills and Qualifications
  1. A qualified Accountant (Chartered, Management or Certified).
  2. Extensive industry experience as qualified accountant.
  3. Fluent Korean / English language skills (written and spoken)
  4. Experience of team management within a small independent set up.
  5. Experience of working in a cross-cultural setting.
  6. Desired experience of Project Accounting.
  7. Significant skill and experience of integrated accounting packages, spreadsheets (MS Excel) and databases, including SAP.
  8. A competent level of presentation, communication and planning skills.
  9. Able to take responsibility for financial decisions.
  10. A good understanding of documentation requirements.
  11. Ability to learn and implement SRUK and Corporate business philosophies.

Hybrid Working: Standard working week will be 3 days onsite and 2 days working from home
