Job summary

Murrayshall Country Estate in Perthshire, Scotland, seeks a qualified Finance Manager to own the finance function within our vibrant hospitality business. This part-time role (32 hours/week) reports to the General Manager, blending detailed financial control with commercial insight to shape decision-making.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified accountant with experience as Finance Manager or similar.
• Experience in hospitality or multi-department operations.
• Strong grounding in management accounts, budgeting and forecasting.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with accounting software.

Responsibilities

• Own the finances: monthly management accounts, P&L, balance sheets, cash flow.
• Manage month end close, ensure accurate, timely reporting.
• Oversee balance sheet reconciliations, bank reconciliations and revenue reports.
• Maintain fixed asset register and robust financial controls.
• Produce clear financial and operational performance reports for decisions.
• Lead annual budgets, capex budgets, forecasts; monitor risks and opportunities.
• Manage cash flow forecasting and liquidity for investments.
• Partner with Heads of Department to review revenue and spend against budgets.
• Develop departmental scorecards and reporting tools.
• Identify opportunities to improve profitability and efficiency.
