A newly created position following a recent UK acquisition by a European Group. This UK Finance Manager opportunity is perfect for someone with strong financial control experience who wants to play a central role in post-acquisition integration. Based in the Dartford area, you'll lead the UK finance function through transition, integration, and transformation.

Our client is a well-established UK business that has recently become part of a larger European Group. With a focus on distributing advanced technologies, the group has ambitious growth plans and a proven track record of strategic acquisitions. As the UK entity undergoes integration into this dynamic, international organisation, the UK Finance Manager will be a key figure in ensuring the business is aligned with Group-wide financial strategy and operations.

Description

The UK Finance Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial control and integration within the UK business. Reporting to the UK Managing Director and the Group CFO, this is a hands-on leadership position with a strategic outlook. Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the financial integration of the UK business into the wider European group.
  • Managing UK statutory and management financial reporting, ensuring alignment with Group policies.
  • Overseeing the separation and transition of subsidiary accounts to appropriate Group entities.
  • Optimising UK group structures from both financial and tax perspectives.
  • Managing working capital, cash flow, and liquidity planning.
  • Coordinating the UK budgeting process and reporting into Group finance.
  • Acting as a finance business partner to UK Managing Director, providing commercial and strategic insight.
  • Supporting ERP system migration from Sage to Microsoft Dynamics 365.
  • Reviewing UK finance team structure and assessing resourcing needs.
  • Leading cost control initiatives and supporting profitability and margin improvements.
  • Supporting ongoing M&A activity as part of the group's pan-European growth strategy.

Profile

The ideal candidate for This UK Finance Manager / Controller position will match the following description

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with extensive experience in financial control and reporting.
  • Proven track record within a multi-entity or group structure; international exposure preferred.
  • Experience with business integrations or M&A activity highly desirable.
  • Commercially aware with strong analytical skills and strategic insight.
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally and managing relationships with group-level stakeholders.
  • Technically sound, ideally with experience using Sage and/or Microsoft Dynamics 365.
  • Approachable, collaborative and confident in leading change.
  • A background in highly advanced devices and equipment would be desirable.

Job Offer

  • Base salary: £75,000 - £85,000 depending on experience.
  • Bonus: Performance-based bonus aligned to both individual and company outcomes.
  • Annual leave: 25 days + bank holidays.
  • Hybrid working: Based in Dartford a minimum of 3 days per week with flexible arrangements, but the ideal candidate will be a key part of the leadership team, and more presence is preferred.
