Job description

About the Role:

As a CBRE Finance Manager, you will manage a team responsible for producing all output associated with Finance Strategy and Operations, including the annual budget preparation, monthly forecasts, strategic planning, management reporting, and other special projects.
This job is part of the Financial Strategy and Operations job function. You will be responsible for maintaining accounting, financial, and reporting policies and controls.

What You'll Do:
  • Provide formal supervision to employees. Monitor the training and development of staff. Conduct performance evaluations and coaching. Oversee the recruiting and hiring of new employees.
  • Coordinate and manage the team's daily activities. Establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff. Set and track staff and department deadlines. Mentor and coach as needed.
  • Drive the budgeting process, forecasting process, strategic planning process, and standard management reporting.
  • Approve balance sheet account analysis, statement of cash flows and supporting schedules, and standard consolidated reporting packs.
  • Review and approve all monthly journal entries.
  • Produce a variety of complex routine and ad hoc financial reports, packages and pro forma analyses for senior management and planning unit.
  • Implement research, development and preparation of accounting policy and procedures.
  • Manage special projects and prepare presentations for management.
  • Exchange and explain difficult information, conveys performance expectations, and handles sensitive issues.
  • Influence parties of shared interests to reach agreement.
  • Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Influence parties of shared interests to reach an agreement.
  • Apply knowledge of own discipline and how own discipline integrates with others to achieve team and departmental objectives.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve day-to-day and moderately complex issues which may or may not be evident in existing systems and processes.


What You'll Need:
  • Fully qualified accountant (CIMA, ACA, or ACCA) with post-qualification experience.
  • Experience in the areas of staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance and retention is preferred.
  • Ability to lead the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations and handle problems.
  • Leadership skills to motivate the team to achieve broad operational targets with impacts on own job discipline, multiple job disciplines, and department.
  • Effective communicator with both finance and non-finance colleagues and stakeholders.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Extensive organizational skills and an advanced inquisitive mindset.
  • Ability to calculate complicated figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations.
