Job summary

Bourne Education Trust is seeking a Finance Manager to lead financial management across the school network. The role covers budgeting, reporting, payroll, procurement, and internal controls, with advisory support to senior leadership for forecasts and decision-making.

The post is based in Woking/Addlestone area, full-time and permanent, with access to pension, training and wellbeing programs. Prior experience in MAT/public sector finance is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Awareness of safeguarding of children is required.
• Experience with school finance processes is preferred.
• Understanding of internal controls and reporting requirements.

Responsibilities

• Line manage Finance Officer(s) and approve orders, invoices, and BACS runs.
• Oversee month-end processes, including journals and reconciliations.
• Lead monthly management accounts and reforecasts.
• Coordinate annual budget setting covering three years.

Education

Part-qualified or fully qualified accountant
