Job Description:

We’re looking for a Finance Manager - Corporate Tax to join us in our Bradford office. This is hybrid working – 2 days in the office, 3 days remote.

In this exciting and varied role of Finance Manager - Corporate Tax, you will be responsible for tax compliance and reporting activities performed within Liberty Shared Services (LSS) on behalf of our customers, across the Liberty Global portfolio of businesses.

This will include agreeing delivery requirements with customers and delivering a service in line with those expectations, with a focus on driving a culture of continuous process improvement, automation and efficiency, enabled by technology. Here you will cover multiple local jurisdictions where the tax rules are complex and compliance obligations differ from territory to territory.

The LSS Tax Team engages with the appropriate accounting, tax, commercial, legal and treasury teams, both within LSS and across our customer base, to ensure our mutual goals are achieved.

There has never been a better time to join Liberty Global. We’re a dynamic, high-growth and tech-led group of businesses, where as a Finance Manager - Corporate Tax you would be ideally suited with proven post-qualification tax compliance experience and the ambition to develop your career with a global market leader.

What will you be doing?

You will prepare and review UK and overseas tax computations, tax provision calculations for delivery to LSS customers, and international quarterly and year-end tax provision calculations (IFRS and US GAAP).

As the point of contact for all customer service delivery issues, you will deliver seamless stakeholder management, whilst seeking and implementing continuous improvements to deliver efficiencies through technology, automation and artificial intelligence solutions.

You will train, support and manage junior members of the tax team, to ensure they work seamlessly with other LSS teams, customers and in particular the LG Tax teams, to ensure that Tax technical items are correctly reflected in the Tax returns.

Working with various customers’ tax and accounting teams, you will seek to understand their enterprise operational requirements for tax processes, as well as their technology environment and interfaces.

You will develop the most efficient organisational structure and limit possible exposures and/or errors, whilst expanding the scope of the LSS Tax team to other/new customers by demonstrating the potential value of the service.

We tend to look for people with:

Proven experience as a Finance Manager or Accountant, with a Chartered Accountancy qualification, such as ACCA, ACA or CTA, or equivalent.

Post-qualification experience in corporate tax compliance and/or reporting roles in industry or practice.

Experience with UK tax issues such as CIR, CFC, Hybrids, R&D and Group Payment Arrangements.

Knowledge of Thompson Reuters ONESOURCE, or similar.

The ability to coach and support other team members, utilising a forward-thinking continuous process improvement mindset.

Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.

What’s in it for you?

Competitive salary plus bonus

25 days annual leave with the option to purchase 5 more

Access to wellbeing and mental health benefits such as the Calm app, personal medical, critical illness cover and dental insurance

Matched pension contribution up to 10%

Access to our car benefit scheme

Access to our online learning platform to continue to develop and grow your career with us

The chance to join an innovative, fast-paced and passionate team
