Job summary

Brellis Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced Finance Manager for a well‑established construction company. You will report to the Managing Director and work closely with accounts, auditors and senior leadership.

The role covers all financial operations, with supervision of a Finance Assistant and a broad spectrum of responsibilities. The ideal candidate has at least 5 years in a Finance Manager role, ACA or CIMA, and strong experience with Sage 50 Cloud and Excel.

Qualifications

• AC A/CIMA qualification and strong finance leadership experience are required.
• Minimum 5 years in a Finance Manager role within a mid‑sized environment.
• Proven ability to supervise a small finance team and manage processes end‑to‑end.
• Experience with CIS deductions, VAT returns and year‑end accounts is essential.
• Proficient in Sage 50 Cloud Professional and Excel with strong IT literacy.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Purchase and Sales Ledgers, ensuring accurate processing.
• Manage CIS deductions, VAT returns and monthly/annual accounts.
• Perform bank reconciliations, balance sheet control and GL checks.
• Prepare cash flow reports and assist with annual audits.
• Develop management cost reports and financial analysis for MD.
• Ensure timely job costing and release of retentions.
• Cover Finance Assistant duties during absences.
