Job Title: Finance Manager
Location: Bolton, Greater Manchester
Salary: Up to 50,000 per annum
Job Type: Full–time, Permanent
Qualification Required: ACA, ACCA, CIMA (or equivalent)



Overview:

On behalf of our client, a well–established and growing organisation based in the Bolton area, we are currently recruiting for a professionally qualified Finance Manager to join their finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven individual looking to take ownership of a finance function within a supportive and forward–thinking business.



The Role:

Reporting directly to senior leadership, the Finance Manager will be responsible for the day–to–day financial operations, ensuring timely and accurate reporting while contributing to the company's overall strategic goals. This is a hands–on role that would suit a commercially aware finance professional with excellent communication skills and a passion for continuous improvement.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Full ownership of monthly management accounts, reporting, and analysis

  • Budgeting, forecasting, and variance reporting

  • Statutory reporting and compliance with all relevant financial regulations

  • Cash flow management and financial planning

  • Leading a small finance team, providing support and development

  • Business partnering with internal stakeholders to support commercial decisions

  • Working closely with external auditors and managing the year–end audit process

  • Identifying process improvements and driving efficiencies across the finance function



The Ideal Candidate:

  • Professionally qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)

  • Strong technical accounting background

  • Proven experience in a similar finance role, ideally within an SME or owner–managed business environment

  • Comfortable working both strategically and operationally

  • High level of proficiency with financial systems and Excel

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to influence at all levels
