The Role

As Finance Manager, you will play a key role in the day-to-day running of the Belfast finance department, supported by colleagues across the wider group. This is a varied role that will give you exposure to management reporting, audits, statutory compliance, and business partnering within a fast-paced professional services environment.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Preparation and analysis of quarterly management accounts

  • Annual budgets, cashflow forecasting, and performance tracking

  • Managing statutory reporting, tax compliance, and VAT returns

  • Overseeing external and regulatory audits (including Law Society audits)

  • Ensuring compliance with Solicitors Account Regulations and client money controls

  • Reviewing bank reconciliations and managing banking relationships

  • Supporting billing, creditor payments, and ad hoc financial queries from senior stakeholders

About You

We\'re looking for a finance professional who is detail-driven, organised, and proactive, with strong stakeholder management skills.

Essential:

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with 2+ years\' post-qualification experience

  • Strong background in financial reporting and compliance

  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines

  • Excellent interpersonal and team collaboration skills

Desirable:

  • Experience in a professional services environment (legal, consultancy, accountancy, etc.)

  • Previous experience in a busy, fast-paced finance department
