Our Entity Financial Management and Control team serves as a financial control function, providing essential finance support for acquisitions, operational implementation, and ongoing management of regulated and unregulated entities within Macquarie Asset Management. We are dedicated to ensuring the financial integrity of Macquarie Asset Management EMEA’s balance sheet and compliance across both regulated and non-regulated entities.

While Macquarie offers hybrid working for many of our roles, this role does require 3 days a week in our advertised location.

At Macquarie, our advantage is bringing together diverse people and empowering them to shape all kinds of possibilities. We are a global financial services group operating in 31 markets and with 56 years of unbroken profitability. You’ll be part of a friendly and supportive team where everyone - no matter what role - contributes ideas and drives outcomes.

What role will you play?

In this role, you will become a partner to the Macquarie Asset Management EMEA business, providing expert advice on all aspects of finance and accounting for your business line. You will have financial controllership responsibility for Macquarie Asset Management EMEA’s balance sheet and P&L, providing support to offshore finance teams with core accounting processes such as month-end close and audits. Using your strong communication skills, you will regularly translate complex accounting topics to non-accountant stakeholders.

You will manage the end-to-end entity financial management of the Macquarie Asset Management legal entities, including regulated entities, overseeing monthly Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet management for UK entities, understanding the process flows for key Macquarie Asset Management judgment areas, operational implementation of new products and business lines, and collaborating across global teams, including tax, legal entity control, treasury, and financial control, and providing quarterly financial updates to the Board of respective entities.

What You Offer

  • A relevant university degree, coupled with a formal accounting qualification (ACA or equivalent)
  • 2-5 years of post-qualification experience
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving, with the ability to independently identify and address issues, manage timelines, and demonstrate strong initiative and commitment to achieving efficient outcomes
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of effectively engaging with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, including senior leadership and global finance teams
  • Strong organisational skills, with the capacity to manage multiple priorities and deadlines, ensuring high-quality outputs and adherence to strategic objectives

We love hearing from anyone inspired to build a better future with us, if you're excited about the role or working at Macquarie we encourage you to apply.
