An established industry player is seeking a dynamic finance professional to join their innovative team. The finance team is a centralised team working closely with services to provide financial advice and expertise. You will play a crucial role in supporting the objectives of the finance team in building relationships, maintaining value for money, and developing innovative ways of working.
We currently have an exciting vacancy within our team to continue building on our success and to bring new experience, knowledge, and ideas.
We work in a hybrid way, combining office and home working. You will be expected to work from the office at least two days per week as part of this team.
You will collaborate with colleagues within the finance team and be responsible for delivering cost management, budget review, and highlighting efficiencies across the revenue budgets of the Adults and Health Partnerships Directorate.
This role provides financial support to the finance team and service leads within the Adults and Health Partnerships Directorate, which includes services like Adult Social Care, Public Health, Housing Options, Salford Assist, Welfare Rights and Debt Advice, and the Health Improvement Service. Join us during an exciting time as we undertake high-profile workstreams and a transformation program to enhance service delivery for our residents. We also work closely with health partners to deliver Adult Social Care in Salford.
If you have a strong track record of achieving solutions, are motivated to make a difference, and thrive in a team environment, we want to hear from you. We seek an enthusiastic, proactive, and dynamic individual who can operate effectively under strict deadlines. You should be a fully qualified accountant (or qualified through experience) with extensive experience in funding models, management accounting, budgeting, and forecasting. Experience in business partnering across finance and non-finance teams, preparing budgets, and engaging stakeholders through strong communication skills is essential. Previous experience working in a Local Authority is not necessarily required.
