A successful and growing manufacturing business near Barnsley is looking to appoint an experienced Finance Manager for a 12-month assignment.
This is a hands-on and commercial role, taking full ownership of site financial performance while supporting and developing a talented Part-Qualified Management Accountant (ACCA finalist). You’ll play a key role in driving performance across the site, working closely with operations and commercial teams to improve visibility, control and profitability.
Full ownership of site P&L, including weekly variance analysis on labour, materials and distribution costs
Lead the forecasting and budgeting processes, as well as annual standard resets
Partner with commercial and operational teams on cost control, product costing and margin analysis
Oversee month-end processes, including stock, labour and overheads
Review capital expenditure proposals and monitor ROI
Act as site finance lead for a new ERP implementation
Mentor and develop a part-qualified accountant, supporting their progression
Qualified accountant (CIMA / ACCA / ACA or equivalent)
Proven track record in manufacturing or FMCG environments
Strong Excel skills (lookups, pivot tables, etc.)
Confident communicator, able to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels
Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, hands-on setting
