Client Details

My client are a growing, entrepreneurial SME based in South Manchester, looking for a number 2 to come in and support the FD as they progress on their journey to increase market share and profitability.

Description

  • Lead and develop a small accounting and finance team made up of AP, Management Accounts & Internal Audit.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee month end, quarter end & year end financial reporting, making sure it's accurate, up to date & timely.
  • Ad-hoc analysis
  • Monitor financial performance and provide insights to support decision-making.
  • Manage cash flow and oversee financial planning activities.
  • Collaborate with other departments to align financial strategies with business objectives.
  • Support external audits and liaise with auditors as required.
  • Ad-hoc, strategic projects working closely with the FD

Profile

  • A strong background in accounting and finance, with professional qualifications such as ACA, ACCA, or CIMA. My client will also consider someone who is qualified by experience.
  • Someone open-minded, comfortable working in a pacey environment where your role is varied.
  • Proven ability to people manage a small and newly-formed team of finance professionals.
  • Proven ability to prepare and analyse financial reports and budgets.
  • Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance standards.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong communication skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
