An industrial services firm is seeking a Finance Manager/Financial Accountant to strengthen its Group Finance team. This role involves leading a small team, owning group reporting, and enhancing accounting controls. Ideal candidates should be ACCA, CIMA, or ACA qualified and possess strong accounting expertise with a proven leadership record in industrial settings.
We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager / Financial Accountant for an Industrial Services firm in Tadcaster as they look to strengthen their Group Finance team. This role will lead a small team and take ownership of group reporting, month-end and year-end close, balance sheet integrity, and the coordination of the audit process.
Key responsibilities as Finance Manager will include:
Report to the Financial Controller, with a dotted line to the CFO
Lead the preparation and coordination of monthly management accounts
Advise on monthly reporting and year-end financial submissions
Review and challenge Group balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy and integrity
Strengthen and maintain effective accounting controls and governance frameworks
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and compliance
Support the UK external audit process by ensuring timely, accurate responses to audit queries
Ideally you will be able to demonstrate the below qualifications/experience:
Fully qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, or ACA)
Experience of working in manufacturing, engineering, or similar industrial environments
Prior experience in a Finance Manager role is highly advantageous
Strong technical accounting expertise and knowledge of UK accounting standards
Ability to build effective working relationships and influence stakeholders across complex entities, and systems.
Demonstrated leadership capability, with a proven track record in managing, coaching, and developing high-performing teams
