Job summary

You will prepare monthly financial reports, closing packs and MI, and oversee AP, supplier and subcontractor payments, ensuring VAT/CIS/PAYE and pension compliance.

Finance Manager – Energy Infrastructure Project
West Midlands | 6-Month Contract
We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join a major, large-scale infrastructure project in the West Midlands on a 6-month contract.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage project budgeting, forecasting, cash flow and variance analysis.
• Prepare monthly financial reports, closing packs and management information.
• Oversee Accounts Payable, supplier/subcontractor payments and reconciliations.
• Manage project cash flow, treasury, collections and payment forecasting.
• Review contractual payment terms, bonds, guarantees and insurance requirements.
• Support month-end close, WIP calculations and project cost reporting.
• Reconcile project costs with accounting and cost-control records.
• Ensure compliance with VAT, CIS, PAYE and pension requirements.
• Work closely with suppliers, subcontractors, commercial teams and project management.
• Identify financial risks, opportunities and areas for improved cost control.
