Job summary

Michael Page Finance is partnering with a well established services business to recruit a Finance Manager. This hands-on role offers genuine responsibility and visibility across the organisation, reporting to the CFO and leading a team of six.

You will oversee monthly management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations, month-end processes, payroll, VAT and statutory reporting, and support budgeting and forecasting. This is an office-based post with exposure to senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Professional qualification in accounting or finance (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) or qualified by experience.
• Experience managing a finance team.
• Strong management accounting and financial control experience.
• Knowledge of payroll, VAT and statutory reporting.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proactive, organised approach with strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a finance team of six.
• Review monthly management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Oversee month-end processes and maintain strong financial controls.
• Manage payroll, VAT returns, PAYE and statutory reporting.
• Authorise payments and monitor cash flow.
• Lead the annual audit and liaise with external auditors.
• Support budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Monitor stock reconciliations and debt reviews.
• Deputise for the CFO and support wider finance projects.

• Leading the annual audit and liaising with external auditors
• Supporting budgeting and forecasting activities
• Monitoring stock reconciliations and debt reviews
• Deputising for the CFO when required and supporting wider finance projects

Profile

• A professional qualification in accounting or finance (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA) or qualified by experience.
• Previous experience managing a finance team
• Strong management accounting and financial control experience
