We\'re on a mission to protect society from fraud and money laundering. We\'ve already protected over 2 million people through life\'s big transactions, with a core aim to protect 3 million people by the end of 2025. Fraud and regulation are rising, costing the UK economy over £100bn every year; this makes it more difficult for businesses to protect themselves and their clients individuals like you and me from fraud and money laundering. Our co-founders Olly and Jack were led to this area when a friend was defrauded of £25K when buying their first property. At the time, anti-fraud technology didn\'t exist, which meant that completing the anti-fraud checks required in these processes was largely manual. These big life moments should be exciting, but instead are often confusing and scary due to the painful process of completing these paper-based checks and the risk of fraud. Thirdfort helps businesses to facilitate these anti-fraud checks so that individuals know they can transact safely and seamlessly with professionals during these big transactions. Our anti-fraud platform provides a secure way for professionals in regulated sectors like Lawyers, Estate Agents and Accountants to transfer funds and verify sensitive information through app based document checks, facial recognition and open banking. Over 1,500 businesses now trust Thirdfort to verify their clients. We are FCA regulated and have raised over $33m in capital from leading Fintech investors Breega and Element Ventures, as well as the founders of Zoopla, Funding Circle, Comply Advantage, Tessian, Fenergo and Fidel.

The Role

The Role: As Finance Manager at Thirdfort, your mission is to deliver fast, accurate, and insight-rich financial analysis, reporting and operations. Thirdfort has grown at pace, and with a recent acquisition accelerating our trajectory, our ambitions have only expanded. This brings greater accounting and finance complexity and the need to build a world-class Finance team. You\'ll own month-end close, produce trusted insights, and strengthen a scalable control environment, partnering with the business to translate numbers into action. By streamlining finance operations and turning operational data into clear, actionable KPIs, you\'ll help every team move faster, spend smarter, and deliver results with confidence. For this role, we would love this person to be able to join us in our offices a few times a week as being together as a team is valuable for us but ultimately, we trust our team to decide what works best for them.

You will achieve your mission as our Finance Manager by working across 3 core areas:

• Financial Reporting
• Supporting the Financial Controller in closing month-end
• Preparing key financial statements and management reports
• Performing balance sheet reconciliations and reviewing financial data for accuracy
• Supporting the annual audit

• Financial Operations
• Optimising and managing our billing practices working closely with Analytics and RevOps
• Overseeing the full payroll process, ensuring timely and accurate payment to all employees
• Managing and reviewing commission calculations and reporting for the commercial team
• Cash management - managing payables and receivables, ensuring accurate supplier payments and on-time customer receipts to optimise working capital
• Ensuring operational financial processes are efficient, accurate, and scalable
• Regulatory reporting including VAT reconciliation and submission processes

• Financial Planning & Analysis
• Supporting budgeting and forecasting processes
• Partnering with the business to provide data-driven insights to help business leaders understand performance metrics

You may be right for this role if you:

• Are a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent) with at least 1 year\'s PQE
• Bring experience from either audit (strong controls/technical accounting) or industry (month-end and business partnering), and want to broaden your scope
• Are excited by variety beyond core reporting and enjoy partnering with teams across the business
• Have strong analytical skills turning data into actionable insight
• Communicate clearly with non-finance stakeholders, translating complexity into simple, decision-ready recommendations
