Finance Manager

This is a highly engaging role offering excellent exposure to the fast-growing offshore wind industry in the UK. The Finance Manager will play a key part in supporting large-scale renewable energy projects and providing financial leadership across a range of initiatives.

Main Focus Areas
  • Act as a business partner to management and internal stakeholders, providing strategic, timely, and accurate advice on technical accounting and project structuring.
  • Support wider business activities including new wind farm developments, operational initiatives, restructuring, acquisitions, and divestments.
  • Work within the accounting team to oversee the production of management accounts, statutory accounts, and provide technical accounting guidance for project companies.
  • Manage company financing, cash flow planning, and reporting requirements, while liaising with auditors and investment partners as required.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the preparation and delivery of management accounts.
  • Oversee the production of annual statutory accounts, ensuring audit-standard working papers are maintained.
  • Coordinate audit scheduling and assist with resolving audit queries.
  • Maintain balance sheet integrity, including preparation of reconciliations and resolution of ledger issues.
  • Deliver accurate and timely reporting to internal stakeholders and external partners.
Requirements
  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills (intermediate level).
  • Solid knowledge and application of IFRS.
  • Highly organised and self-motivated, with the ability to prioritise effectively.
  • Strong communication skills – able to explain financial issues to both finance and non-finance professionals, and to understand key non-financial considerations (e.g. legal, technical).
  • Confident in presenting financial information in a clear, concise, and targeted manner.
