Job description

Finance Manager

We are looking for a qualified Finance Manager to takeresponsibility for the day-to-day activities within the finance team, provide financial support and information to the business to enable relevant commercial and operational decisions to be made. Working as part of the management team, the Finance Manager will be a key person in offering an overview of the company's finances with inputs from budgets, manufacturing, currency, VAT and Tax requirements.

The Role:

  • Lead, manage, develop, coordinate the accounting team of 4
  • Support the annual statutory audit and accounts preparation
  • Production of accurate and high-quality monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet and cash flow.
  • Preparation of budgets and forecasts in collaboration with budget holders across the business
  • Assist with the preparation of the year-end financial statements and audit files, supporting the audit process.
  • Produce relevant financial information as required to support decision making
  • Customer and credit risk management.
  • Ensure compliance with all legal financial requirements
  • Ensure the Business Control principles are respected
  • Ownership of providing monthly forecasts and yearly budgets as well as other financial reports/presentations.
Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications and Experience Required
  • You'll be a fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) with up to 3 years of post-qualification experience. Newly qualified candidates are welcome.
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge and advanced Excel skills
  • Strong communication and relationship building skills
  • Ability to work under pressure whilst offering an excellent analytical ability
  • A proactive approach and passion for process improvement
  • Confidence in explaining financial concepts to non-finance stakeholders
  • Experience working within a Finance team within a manufacturing environment ideal
  • Experience of ERP Systems would be highly beneficial although not essential
Working Hours and benefits:07:45 - 17:00 Mon to Thurs, 08:30 - 12:30 Fridays (39 hours)
