Trial Balance Consulting are assisting a specialist manufacturing company in recruiting a Finance Manager based in St. Austell.

The role is full-time and permanent, reporting to directors and working with international stakeholders to steer the financial health of the business. The ideal candidate will be professionally qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or qualified by experience, with strong technical and commercial acumen.

Qualifications

• Ideally professionally qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA).
• Manufacturing experience is advantageous but not essential.
• Strong team collaboration and business acumen are valued.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and develop a small team of transactional staff.
• Produce management accounts with commentary for SMT.
• Oversee bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Perform variance and business performance analysis.
• Prepare annual budgets and monthly forecasts with directors.
• VAT reporting and related compliance.
• HR responsibilities such as new staff onboarding as needed.

Finance Manager - St. Austell - £45,000 - £50,000

Trial Balance Consulting are delighted to have been engaged by a new client, a specialist manufacturing company who are genuine experts in their field. The business currently seeks to recruit an experienced Finance Manager on a full-time, permanent basis.

This will be a broad and interesting opportunity where the successful candidate will work closely with directors, based in the UK and internationally, to take a lead role in managing the financial health of the business.

Key aspects of the role to include:

• Supervise and develop a small team of transactional support staff
• Production of management accounts with commentary for SMT
• Oversee bank reconciliations
• Variance and business performance analysis
• Prepare annual budgets and monthly forecasts (with company director's)
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• VAT reporting
• Oversee bank reconciliations
• Some HR responsibilities as required (such as new staff on-boarding)

For this role we seek an experienced and technically and commercially astute Finance Manager. Whilst the successful candidate will ideally be professionally qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA), candidates who consider themselves as qualified by experience will also be considered. Previous manufacturing experience would be highly advantageous, but is not essential.
