About the Role

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Finance Manager to join our team and take full ownership of our finance operations. This pivotal role is responsible for managing the day-to-day financial activities, overseeing monthly and annual reporting, and ensuring robust financial control across the business.

You will manage one direct report and work closely with senior leadership to support strategic decision-making through accurate financial reporting and insightful analysis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage all aspects of the finance operation and provide leadership to a direct report.

  • Ensure timely completion of monthly accounting close processes in line with deadlines.

  • Prepare and submit accurate monthly management accounts.

  • Maintain and oversee all balance sheet reconciliations on a monthly basis.

  • Perform financial variance analysis and provide actionable insights.

  • Uphold and enhance internal financial controls, supporting external audits and liaising with auditors as required.

  • Oversee day-to-day cash flow and working capital planning.

  • Monitor and report on accounts receivable activities on a monthly basis.

  • Lead the annual budgeting process and coordinate quarterly forecast updates.

  • Stay updated on changes to financial regulations and legislation to ensure compliance.

Person Specification
  • ACCA or CIMA qualified, or degree-level qualification in Accountancy and Finance.

  • Strong proficiency in Sage 200 Accounts and Microsoft Excel.

  • Ability to manage tight deadlines while working independently with minimal supervision.

  • Comfortable balancing hands-on transactional tasks with strategic financial responsibilities.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial matters clearly.
