Job summary

Overview

Alpha Recruitment are looking for a finance manager to start ASAP for one of our trusted clients on a permanent basis.

The Company

The client is a leading provider of Industrial Cleaning, Confined Space Rescue and Rope Access services. They serve the industrial sector throughout the UK, and their clients include well-known names from Energy, Steel Manufacturing, Water and Chemical industries.

They have an annual turnover of £3-4 million and a strong Balance Sheet with competitive EBITDA returns.

The Position

Reporting to the Managing Director you will ensure the smooth and efficient running of the finance department and the preparation of key financial information.

Ideally a part or fully qualified accountant although finance experience will be taken into account providing work etc can be evidenced.

The Person
  • Ability to work collaboratively and support the team to deliver against deadlines, ask questions, and get involved in projects as required.
  • Attention to detail is critical, ensuring that monthly reporting is both accurate and complete.
  • Experience of working to tight timescales, they must be able to deliver to deadlines and manage their own workload responsibly.
  • The successful applicant must be able to demonstrate that they are confident and clear when presenting financial information in a way which is understandable to other non-financial areas of the business.

Key Responsibilities
  • As the Finance Manager / Controller you will be responsible for:
  • the day-to-day financial operations including:
  • Payroll
  • Invoicing
  • Accounts payable
  • Accounts receivable
  • Credit control
  • Reconciliation of financial transactions
  • Supporting in preparing draft monthly management accounts and reporting
  • Support with year-end close
  • Internal reporting on department and client profitability
  • Ensuring all financial transactions are properly recorded and reconciled
  • Ensure compliance with accounting policies and regulatory requirements
Remuneration

As the Finance Manager / Controller you will be entitled to:

  • Salary (based on experience) £40,000 - £50,000 per annum
