Job summary

Sodexo Group is seeking a Finance Manager for Queen’s Hospital, Romford, to manage day‑to‑day financial operations for a large FM PFI contract. You will provide financial guidance, evaluate contract variations, and support strategic decision‑making with senior stakeholders.

In this role you will lead budgeting, forecasting, and monthly reporting, ensuring robust controls and insights that drive commercial growth and risk management within a high‑profile healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with 2+ years post‑qualification experience.
• Strong financial modelling and forecasting capabilities.
• Ability to influence stakeholders and communicate clearly.
• Experience managing multiple priorities to tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Partner with operational leaders and the Commercial Finance Controller to support decision‑making.
• Lead annual budget and quarterly forecast processes with challenge and insight.
• Produce monthly financial reporting including WIP, lifecycle works and major projects.
• Ensure accurate client billing in line with contract mechanisms.
• Analyse performance and provide commentary, insights and recommendations.
• Build relationships with the client and support financial review meetings.
• Drive continuous improvement, commercial awareness and financial accountability.
• Maintain forecasting, controls and cost management to identify opportunities and mitigate risks.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Finance Manager to join our team at Queen’s Hospital, Romford, supporting a significant Hard Facilities Management (FM) PFI contract. This is a highly visible role where you will work closely with operational leaders and our client, helping to drive financial performance, support strategic decision‑making, and identify opportunities for commercial growth.

Working on an established and profitable contract generating over £26 million in annual revenue, you will play a key role in managing the day‑to‑day financial operations, providing expert financial guidance, and leading on the evaluation, negotiation and implementation of contract variations.

Main Responsibilities

• Partnering with operational leaders and the Commercial Finance Controller to support strategic and commercial decision‑making.
• Leading the annual budget and quarterly forecast processes, providing challenge and insight to drive performance.
