Job Description
  1. Manage and lead the finance team, including financial analysts, accountants, and other finance professionals, providing guidance and support as needed.
  2. Oversee the preparation of financial statements, reports, and forecasts, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
  3. Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and controls to safeguard company assets, mitigate risks, and improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  4. Monitor financial performance and key performance indicators (KPIs), identifying trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement, and providing actionable insights to senior management.
  5. Coordinate and support the annual budgeting and planning process, working closely with department heads to establish financial targets and objectives.
  6. Manage cash flow, liquidity, and working capital to optimise financial resources and support business operations and growth initiatives.
  7. Stay up-to-date on changes in accounting standards, regulations, and industry trends, and implement necessary updates to financial policies and procedures.
The Successful Applicant
  1. Minimum of 5 years of experience in finance or accounting roles, with at least 2 years in a managerial or leadership position.
  2. Strong knowledge of financial principles, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
  3. Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling.
  4. Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire, motivate, and develop teams.
  5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly to senior management and stakeholders.
  6. Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on driving results and achieving business objectives.
  7. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial management software.
  8. Ability to prioritise tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  9. May be working towards an accountancy degree.
