Butler Rose Ltd is partnering with a well-established international organisation to recruit a Finance Manager based in Plymouth. The role combines hands-on leadership with strategic financial management across multiple entities, delivering robust controls and timely reporting.

The successful candidate will oversee the finance team, manage cash flow and intercompany reporting, and support audits. AAT qualification and strong Excel and accounting system experience are essential.

Qualifications

• AAT qualification or an equivalent recognised accounting qualification.
• Previous experience in a finance management or supervisory role.
• Strong people management and team leadership experience.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills alongside experience using accounting systems and financial databases.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a busy environment.

Responsibilities

• Providing day-to-day leadership to the finance team across multiple international entities.

Finance Manager

Butler Rose is delighted to be partnering with a well-established international organisation in the search for a Finance Manager to join their growing finance team based inPlymouth.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced finance professional who enjoys working in a hands-on management role within a multi-entity environment. Supporting operations globaly,you will play a key role in maintaining robust financial controls, delivering accurate financial reporting and supporting the wider finance function in achieving its objectives.

Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 (depending on experience)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Location: Hybrid working available from Plymouth offices with free parking

The Role

As Finance Manager, you will provide day-to-day leadership and support to the finance team while ensuring the smooth running of core financial processes across multiple international entities.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Supporting and providing guidance to the Finance Team Leader and wider finance function.
• Overseeing sales ledger and purchase ledger activities across all operations.
• Assisting with cash flow management, forecasting and invoice discounting arrangements.
• Managing VAT submissions and withholding tax requirements.
• Preparing intercompany reconciliations and financial reporting across international entities.
• Providing support during statutory audits and responding to requests for financial information and analysis.
• Building effective relationships across the business to help achieve departmental and organisational objectives.
• Contributing to the continued development and improvement of finance processes and controls.

About You

To be considered for this position, you will ideally possess:

• AAT qualification or an equivalent recognised accounting qualification.
• Previous experience in a finance management or supervisory role.
• Strong people management and team leadership experience.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills alongside experience using accounting systems and financial databases.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a busy environment.
• A meticulous approach with excellent attention to detail.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• A collaborative and customer-focused approach to work.

The following would be advantageous:

• Experience working with invoice discounting facilities.
• Exposure to monthly management accounts production.
• Experience with system implementations, upgrades or finance transformation projects.
• Knowledge of Access Dimensions, Xero or QuickBooks.
• Previous experience operating within an international or multi-entity finance function.
