A leading charity is seeking a Finance Manager for a part-time, flexible role in Oxford. The successful candidate will manage the charity’s finances, ensuring compliance with financial standards and providing key insights to the management team. Finance Manager (Part-Time)* Salary: £36,000–£40,000 DOE (FTE)* Hours: 22.2 hours per week (0.6 FTE), flexible across 3+ days* Location: Oxford-based with hybrid working (min. one day/week in office)* Contract: PermanentAbout the RoleThis is a varied and rewarding role with a wonderful charity. The Finance Manager will play a key role in helping the organisation remain financially resilient by providing expert financial advice and oversight. You will manage all aspects of the charity’s finances, from bookkeeping to reporting, ensuring compliance with legal and accounting standards.Reporting to the Deputy CEO, you will manage a Bookkeeper and work closely with the CEO, Treasurer, senior managers, budget holders, and external accountants.The ideal candidate will have a relevant finance qualification or at least three years’ experience (or be working towards a qualification, with study support available). Strong skills in QuickBooks and Excel are highly desirable.Experience with month-end accounting, VAT returns, charity accounting, and working in a small organisation would be a real plus.Key Responsibilities* Manage all financial processes, systems, and controls* Produce monthly financial and cashflow reports* Support budgeting, forecasting, and year-end audit preparation* Oversee payroll, VAT, and tax relief claims* Ensure compliance with charity finance regulations* Supervise a part-time bookkeeper and support senior managers with financial insightAbout YouYou are detail-oriented, proactive, and collaborative.
