A family-owned SME in Oldbury is seeking a Finance Manager to oversee accounts, payroll, and financial management. Hays is delighted to be working with a family-owned SME retail and distribution company based in Oldbury, with modern offices and parking facilities. The company is planning significant growth over the next four years and has created a new Finance Manager position.
Reporting to the FD, you will manage the full spectrum of accounts, including month-end processes, VAT, and the preparation of management accounts. You will also run a small payroll weekly and monthly. This is a hands-on, all-round role focusing on both financial and management accounts, overseeing ledgers and credit control. Additional duties include stock control, bank reconciliation, and cash flow management.
This role is suitable for a QBE or qualified hands-on accountant, whether from a small accountancy practice or industry. The role requires adaptability and a proactive approach, with strong presentation and IT skills. The ability to use initiative and work independently is essential.
A salary between £40,000 and £50,000, with benefits including one day of home working, pension, parking, and the opportunity to join a stable and growing company.
