About The Role
Financial Management
- Support the Finance Director in the effective management and control of all capital and revenue budgets and, as directed, work with colleagues on the effective management and control of the management and administration, finance, presented and produced resources and budgets.
- Support the delivery of organisational financial improvement plans.
- Have an overview of the activities and budgets for each department to ensure the procedures laid down in the Trusts financial regulations are adhered to.
- Maintain up-to-date records of departmental financial information.
Delivery
- Deliver an excellent service to the customers of NAMT, Royal & Derngate and The Core at Corby Cube through financial management of the organisation.
- Ensure the accurate and timely preparation of management accounts, and the effective operation and development of management systems for all accounting functions, particularly those relating to purchase ledger, sales ledger, payroll, cash and banking, nominal ledger and stock control.
- Assist with the preparation of appropriate financial reports for NAMT, Royal & Derngate and The Core at Corby Cube Boards.
- Plan and prepare financial management documents, including financial plans, budgets and forecasts.
- Support the Finance Director with the liaison with auditors, business advisers and funding partners.
- Oversee the development of the Management Information Systems used by NAMT, Royal & Derngate and The Core at Corby Cube with an emphasis on effective financial control procedures.

Essential Experience
- Significant experience at senior financial controller level within a large customer driven environment
- Significant experience in direct management and control of a minimum £5m turnover operation
- Proven experience in direct management and supervision of a finance team
- Proven experience of budget preparation, setting and monitoring and financial forecasting.
- Proven experience of month and year end period closures including full account trial balance account reconciliations
- Proven experience of the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets and cash flow statements
- Experience of liaising with auditors, business advisers and board members
- Proven evidence of implementing and monitoring internal controls, for both security of assets and ensuring financial reporting is compliant with relevant accounting standards, regulations, and Trust policies.
Essential Knowledge/Qualifications
Qualified accountant to at least CIMA, ACCA, ACA or CIPFA level or Qualified by Experience (QBE)
- Good working knowledge of current accounting software systems.
- Knowledge of management systems for all accounting functions including purchase ledger, sales ledger, payroll, cash and banking, nominal ledger and stock
