Our client is part of a global manufacturing organisation with several sites around the world.

They are currently seeking an experienced, qualified accountant to join as a Finance Manager based at their site in Newport NP10.

Key objectives:

  • Ensure the efficient running of the finance department, including prompt invoicing of goods delivered, timely customer payments in accordance with monthly cash targets, and prompt payments to suppliers and employees.
  • Regularly assess the effectiveness of accounting systems, ensure compliance with statutory requirements and best practices, and implement or streamline processes as needed.
  • Review spending patterns within the Group, identify anomalies, provide explanations, and suggest management strategies.
  • Review monthly management accounts, prepare draft P&L statements, and generate summary reports.
  • Lead the preparation of annual statutory accounts for 4 sites in collaboration with the global team and act as audit lead.
  • Manage budget and cash flow forecasting.
  • Handle general financial tasks such as VAT compliance.

Candidates should be ACCA or CIMA qualified with at least two years of experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
